Nonesuch Sloe Gin is produced in very small batches from sloes foraged from hedgerows and trees brought to Tasmania by early colonial settlers.
To make this rare Tasmanian expression of what is usually considered an English classic, premium Nonesuch Dry Gin is infused with the sloes for up to twelve months.
This is a longer than usual infusion but it results in a spirit that retains the character of the Sloe itself along with the attributes of the Gin.
This Sloe Gin is a bright ruby colour, with a clean and dry finish. It has complex notes on the palate yet is light and delicate and, at 30% abv, surprisingly smooth.
