MISH Made in South Hobart
The MISH range of gourmet products are the passion of Jane a musician and music teacher who has moved from Dublin arriving in Hobart 5 years ago with her husband and two dogs via WA.
‘Ever since the first day I moved to Tasmania, five years ago, I have been completely blown away by the quality of the produce on this Island and how beautifully warm, open and welcoming the local people are.’
Jane grew up in a large family in Ireland where cooking and sharing food was abig part of her childhood. There was no 'kids' table' or 'kids' menu'. We were showered in crustaceans, free range meat, farmhouse cheese and delicious fruits and veg all depending on the season....especially the much anticipated Irish new potatoes! Steamed with Irish butter. To die for.
So this is how Tasmania is most reminiscent of her childhood in Ireland, the excellent food brings her back to those days where I spent most of my time eating and laughing. It's easy to seek out the best on an Island such as this thanks to all the people who are so passionate about what they do here
