Our Blackberry Gin is made from heritage blackberries grown locally in the Derwent Valley. Heritage blackberries are chosen for their distinctive flavour profile and macerated in our Premium Dry Gin for a minimum of 6 months to create our signature blackberry gin.
On the nose there is a sweet “jaminess”, a spicy middle of the mouth and a long complex, dry finish.
Containing absolutely no added sugar or additives, it is the perfect alternative to traditional sloe gin.
Summerleas Blackberry Gin is proudly and meticulously handcrafted by a 7th generation Tasmanian family as a tribute to Ronald Campbell Gunn. An eminent botanist and scientist who arrived in Tasmania aboard the Greenock in 1830, he is commemorated by the genera Gunniopsis and Gunnia and many species of plants.
