Persia’s Pantry products are artfully handmade by Arad in the Huon Valley, Tasmania. His food combines the rich exotic tastes of his native Iran with high quality, locally sourced gourmet produce. Arad’s recipes are those passed to him by his mother, given a unique personal twist that makes Persia’s Pantry products irresistibly flavourful. All Persia’s Pantry products are organic and suitable for vegans and vegetarians. They are also gluten and dairy free and contain no added sugar.
Arad was forced to flee his native Iran in 2012 after being imprisoned and persecuted for writing about and advocating for his minority group, Ahwazi Arabic. Arriving in Australia by boat he spent 15 months in detention before being released into the community and has chosen the pristine island state of Tasmania to seek asylum, call home and share his unique take on Persian food.
